Jiya Jale Jaan Jale
I am posting a recently recorded song by me "Jiya Jale Jaan Jale" from the movie "Dil Se". This song was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, and somehow feels, this song is just made for her. Lata Ji sung this song during her 70+ age, as a background vocal of Preity Zinta, voice suits Preity much better than her own voice :-) This song has a superb South Indian Classical touch to it, and the Malayalam chorus in between keeps lingering...

This is one of the best covers I've heard of Jiya Jale. I thought it was quite expressive and I also felt unline most other renditions, you introduced subtle variations which gave the song a new flavor and made it refreshing to listen to.
The only issue is saw (as someone already pointed out) was the pronunciation. But you will get over that hump as you sing more hindi songs (I am in the same boat :-) )

Not to discourage, but nothin gr8...Cud have been way better. For instance at places where u r supposed to drag a bit at the end of each verse like "Jiya jale jaaaa jale..." u went like "Jiya jale ja jale" which is a bit of a turn off...
You sounded great! Can you tell me where you got the track from? I've been searching everywhere!
